Checked out and caught a train to Tropea, a little further down the coast towards the toe of Italy. We thought we were going to have some trouble with some dodgy characters on the train, but all good.
After exploring the town (amazing old clifftop town) we went down for a swimming the Mediterranean, wow, beautiful water and that clear blue you see on the postcards is real and full of fish...
What...?
Simons at the bar again.
Cafe across from the train station.
Fully off-form concrete building in Lamezzia Terms
View from the top of the clifftop town onto the beach-
This is where we swam later in the day, I didn't take the camera to the beach, but it was gorgeous, warm, clear, fishy and salty.
You float here, must be very salty??
Drive like a maniac, and praise the lord!
Typical street in Tropea, foot traffic only
Went for a long walk in the middle of the day looking for some bandaids for Simon (sore feet)
Took a short cut through a cemetery,
All the shops are fully shut and shuttered between about midday and 4:00
The next 2 are views from our rooms windows, looking each way
Thats Mt. Strombolo to the left, an active volcano (the rest is just cloud)
Italian crazy buildings.
Classy transport, the piaggio 3-wheelers are everywhere.
Some t-shirt designs , no idea what all this means
