2017 09 10 Catania to Modica

Quick look through Catania flea market, then we headed out to the countryside side with Paolo and Sirena via lots of small villages and towns, one of which had a fairly explosive festival where they carry a christian image around town, under hail of fire works and explosions. Then we went to meet their friends Piero and Chika out on Pieros old family farm, here we spent the day collecting Almonds, then to Modica, Sirenas home town, where we wended the streets and stairs looking at how Sicilian hill towns work, basicallly you get very strong legs, I counted 388 stairs from the 'bassa' part of town where there was a festival going on, up to where the hotel is.
